Traffic Accidents in the Municipalities of North-Eastern Libya (Derna-Alqubba-Shahat-Albayda) Their Causes and Factors for Treating and Reducing Them

Abstract

Traffic accidents are considered among the problems that effect modern societies especially
Libyan society .And this is not strange as Libya is regard as one of the devolving countries .it has
been noticed the increase of traffic accidents in Libya .And these traffic accidents can burden the
country financially, so this paper is aim to shed the light on traffic accidents in In the provinces of
northeastern Libya (Derna - Al-Qubba - Shahat - Al-Bayda). By and large, security deterioration,
the weakness of traffic police institution, and the weakness of police institution in general are
among the things that cause this problem. In addition, there are no strict laws on vehicle imports
and that has made the situation worse. Furthermore, rode are left without any maintenances or
widening. it is known traffic accidents cause casualties, loses in lives, and money. This paper also
discusses the main causes that lead to the increase of traffic accidents. And
behaviors, vehicles, that road and its weakness of its designs and instructions and last but
not the last the ecosystem of the province. In the conclusion of this paper, there are some
recommendations of this paper there are some recommendations and suggestions that can limit
traffic accents and raise road safety in the provinces. This paper also suggests and recommends
ways that can enhance and improve traffic police institutions, and this could be achieved by
constructing research centers, installing database that connect that whole province in the country
together.
