Media work in its various fields faces challenges that hinder the optimal use of computer applications. These challenges vary between technical, human, and economic factors. Overcoming them requires a strategic vision that includes developing infrastructure, investing in training and capacity building, and establishing clear legal and ethical frameworks for the use of computer applications in the development of media work. This study highlights the role of computer applications in developing media work and their importance in improving news transmission methods, accelerating data collection and analysis, and enhancing the quality and accuracy of media content. This, in turn, increases the efficiency of media professionals and contributes to the development of media institutions. A descriptive methodology was adopted in this study. The study aims to clarify the role of using computer applications in media as one of the most influential tools in modern societies, to review the most prominent of these applications for those interested in media work—whether media professionals or officials in institutions concerned with the media sector—and to draw attention to their importance in developing media work, facilitating tasks, and accelerating processes, as well as to explain the challenges associated with employing these computer applications in the media field. The study concludes that the use of computer applications in media work represents an effective solution to the challenges facing the media sector, and that these applications can be used to improve marketing strategies, enhance content quality, and reach a wider audience. However, this requires the development of appropriate policies and tools to mitigate the challenges associated with their use.
