Summary: The study aims to highlight the role of digital transformation in achieving sustainable development, in light of the impact of economic and political difficulties on development in Libyan society. It also seeks to highlight the role of digital transformation in developmental projects, and the extent of its impact in creating a shift at the economic level in the field of development. The study attempts to answer the main question, which is: what is the role of digital transformation in achieving sustainable development? The study was based on the functional perspective as its sociological approach and adopted the descriptive analytical method, by presenting the scientific material while observing the logical sequence of the topic’s elements, defining some related concepts, and then proceeding to present the other elements. The study relied on the method of comprehensive survey of all members of the study population, where data were collected using a questionnaire and processed using the statistical package (SPSS).
